Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the fundamental elements of the Traditional Chinese Medicine medical system. TCM and acupuncture date back to 5,000 years ago, and are rooted in Taoist philosophy.  Each person is seen as an energy system where the mind and body are unified, therefore influencing and balancing one another. TCM is different from Western Medicine in that the whole person is treated holistically instead of isolating and separating diseases. Acupuncture is effective for preventing illness, healing disease, and can help with emotional, physical, and psychological issues. Herbal Medicine

Chinese herbal medicine works in tandem with acupuncture by providing the nourishing support for the energetic reprogramming efforts of acupuncture.

One group of herbs is known as food herbs, which are incorporated into the patient's diet for health maintenance. An herbal formula contains several plant elements: flower, root, stem, leaf, seed, and potentially minerals or other natural ingredients. These herbal formulas are based on individuals unique constitution and medical condition.

Internal Alchemy only uses the safest herbs and supplements with the highest quality control and manufacturing process. We support farmers that follow Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) to ensure the high quality of herbs and sustainable farming.  Our herbs are free of heavy metals.

Guasha

Guasha, also known as scraping, is a method of scraping the skin with Guasha tools after applying an aromatic oil. In TCM, Guasha breaks up stagnation caused by scar tissue and/or adhesions in the fascia. Guasha promotes the smooth movement of muscles, ligaments, tendons and surrounding tissue, therefore relieving pain. This method can also be used to relieve cold and flu symptoms.

Moxa

Moxa, or Moxibustion is a form of heat therapy in which dried Mugwort (artemesia vulgaris, or Ai Ye in TCM), is burned near the surface of the skin. Moxa warms and invigorates the flow of Qi in the body and can dispel certain pathogenic influences. It is commonly used to ease stomach pain, menstrual irregularities, anxiety, and itchy skin. In a Western medical context, moxa is considered to be a emmenagogue, increasing the flow of blood to the uterus. Like acupuncture, this ancient technique has incredible healing properties, which have been supported by a good amount of clinical research to date.

InfiniCHI

InfiniCHI is a system developed by the Ni Family lineage of Taoist Masters and Physicians. Often called "medical Qi Gong," or "acupuncture without needles,” InfiniCHI uses the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the meridian system. Like reiki, the practitioner engages in energetic bodywork.  This aspect is applied through touching or non-touching methods to rebalance patterns of energetic dysfunction. Internal Alchemy often incorporates InfiniCHI within acupuncture sessions.
